Nigerian teen wakes up from 3-day coma and starts speaking fluent Spanish

A Georgia teenager who suffered a life-threatening head injury last month while playing soccer awoke from a coma speaking fluent Spanish for the first time in his life.

Rueben Nsemoh, originally from Nigeria,16, shocked family members and doctors when he opened his eyes after a three-day coma and began uttering sentences in Spanish, despite having known only a few words before his accident.The teen told TIME on Monday:

“It started flowing out,” “I felt like it was like second nature for me. I wasn’t speaking my English right, and every time I tried to speak it I would have a seizure.”
“It was weird,“It was not scary at all. I actually liked it a lot. It was really unique to me.”

Veteran actor Tunde Alabi’s leg amputated, no home, no family to go to (photo)

Veteran Nollywood actor of Village Headmaster, Tunde Alabi, who has been laying critically ill, over complications from diabetes at the Lagos General Hospital has had one of his legs amputated. According to Vanguard, the surgery to save the Thespian from further complication by amputating one of his leg took place yesterday, Monday, October 24, 2016.

There were several efforts to checkmate the amputation surgery but all failed as they seemed to have come rather too late. According to the veteran actor’s colleague, Paul Julius, who is the person solely taking care of him, the actor has no home to go back to after the surgery.

Don’t bring stolen money to my church, Abuja pastor warns members

Pastor of Family Worship Centre (FWC), Abuja, Pastor Sarah Omakwu has warned that those who steal both Government and private money should not bring it to her church, saying she would rather miss the money than miss heaven. The young Chief, Izuchukwu Nwajiaku, a renowned exporter who was crowned about two months ago (August) died in his sleep yesterday. May his soul rest in peace.

Chevron launches cassava projects with 40 graduates

CHEVRON Nigeria Limited through the Partnership Initiative in the Niger Delta (PIND) has launched Youths Cassava Enterprise Project with 40 graduates to pilot the scheme in Ondo state.

The project is in partnership with the states Wealth Creation Agency (WECA). The family and associates of the former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, are intensifying efforts to raise N100m to release him from the detention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
