Nigerians To Begin Payment Of £3000 UK Visa Bond From November

From November 2013, Nigeria will be among the six listed Commonwealth 'high risk' countries whose citizens will be required to pay £3,000 tourists visa bond before they are allowed into the UK. The remaining five are: India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh.  
The UK government, to pacify citizens of these countries who are outraged by this new policy, say it's not all visitors that will be required to pay the bond, just people they consider 'highest risk'; that is people who will collect visa and refuse to leave Britain or overstay their visa terms. Those paying bonds will receive the bond back, if they abide by the terms of their visa.

Football Star Christian Benitez Dies At 27

Former Birmingham City striker Christian Benítez today passed on at the age of 27 in a Qatar hospital, from complications leading to cardiac arrest. 

The Ecuadorian footballer died just weeks after a £10million move to Qatar side, El Jaish.

The Ecuadorian Football Federation said on their website that Benitez 'had severe stomach pain, was rushed to a hospital, where after a few hours suffered cardio respiratory arrest, which ended his life.'
 
Christian is survived by his wife, children and his father, former Ecuador international footballer Ermen Benítez.

So sad.

Shocking: Bird Turns To Woman In Lagos, Nigeria

This sounds strange and unbelievable but it is true. The shocking incident happened around Afromedia street in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos State, Nigeria.

According to reports, three  birds were flying in the area and one of them suddenly fell and landed into a water and surprisingly, the bird changed into a woman.

The unusual incident left the residents of the area in shock and great surprise.

Award Winning Music Video Director Sentenced To 90 Years Imprisonment For Fathering Six Children With His Six Daughters

An award-winning music director found guilty of fathering children with his daughters will spend the rest of his life in jail.

Aswad Ayinde, 55, of Paterson, NJ, was sentenced to 50 years in prison Friday after being found guilty in the second of five expected trials in which he is accused of repeatedly raping his six daughters, resulting in six children being fathered. Mr. Ayinde was found guilty in his latest trial of having intercourse with a daughter when she was as young as eight-years-old. The second sentence adds to the 40 year sentence Mr Ayinde received in a 2011 trial for sexually assaulting a separate daughter. continue for full story.....

Julius Agahowa's Daughter Plays Dual Role On Nollywood Debut

 

Isabelle Agahowa, the 11 Year old daughter of former super eagles of Nigeria's striker Julius Efosa Agahowa plays a dual role of an identical twins separated at birth and given to two different mothers in Uche Jumbo's new movie titled: "Unconditional".

Recently, I posted the debut of 2 face Idibia's 4 year old little daughter making acting debut in this same Uche Jumbo's new movie. Is this movie all about celebrities daughters or what is Uche Jumbo bringing to our view.

D banj's Younger Sister Weds Today

Taiwo Oyebanjo, the younger sister of the Nigerian sensational Singer, Dapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D banj, who is also the twin sister of 'K switch' a singer as well, today ties the knot with Dotun Ojualape popularly known as 'Dotun Cool Fm', like I informed you in a recent post here on TLB.

Their traditional wedding is going on at Ishagamu Ogun state while the white wedding will hold next saturday 3rd of August, 2013 as scheduled.

Lagos State Dumps 70 Beggars & Homeless People In Onitsha

It was reported that, no fewer than 70 beggars and the homeless were on Wednesday dumped at the Upper Iweka Bridge, Onitsha, Anambra State.

Agents of the Lagos State Government reportedly brought the destitute to Onitsha.

The destitute told journalists that they were dumped about 3am at Upper Iweka after being detained in Ikorodu, Lagos, for over six months for alleged wandering and other minor offences by the Lagos State Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) officials.  Continue reading........

Kensington Palace in a short statement this evening, announced the name of the new prince of Cambridge as instructed by William and Kate.

Wife of the multi-award winning Nigerian Singer, 2 face Idibia, Annie Idibia, has come back to showbiz as an actress after her wedding to her hiphop Singer husband, 2 baba.

The first daughter of everly masked Afrobeat musician, Bisade Ologunde, popularly known as Lagbaja, Moyosade Ologunde recently got married to her long time lover, Olamide Obilana, at Motherlan in Opebi.

Moyosade attended Pennsylvania State University School of Management where she bagged a Masters in business administration and now works as a change management specialist at a US firm. 

However, it was reported that, guests were not allowed to take photos at the event. So as to avoid Lagbaja, who was the father of the bride of the day who unusually came without his mask, being unmasked.

Duchess Of Cambridge, Kate Middleton Gives Birth To A Baby Boy

Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and husband Prince William yesterday 22nd July, 2013 welcomed their first child. The baby boy was born at 4:24 p.m, weighing 8 pounds 6 ounces. The baby is now third in line to the throne.
