Jide Kosoko's wife, Henrietta Kosoko survives ghastly motor accident (Photos)

Wife of the popular Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko, who herself was once a regular face in the Yoruba movie industry, actress Henrietta Kosoko has narrowly survived a ghastly car crash on Friday 30th of January, 2015 on her way back from Abeokuta where she had gone the previous day to attend TAMPPAN meeting.

Mrs. Kosoko explained that the accident was a result of break failure at a place called Kobape along Abeokuta-Sagamu expressway around some minutes past 11 o'clock in the morning and she decided to swerve to the bush in an attempt to hit something that could stop the car and that's all she could remember until she woke up in the hospital.

Any further postponement of election is unconstitutional - Jega

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega has said that any further postponement or delay beyond the rescheduled March 28 presidential election date is absolutely unconstitutional. The INEC boss said this today Wednesday 18th of February while addressing the senate.

He said INEC was completely ready to conduct elections on the earlier February 14th scheduled date but was persuaded to support the delay as advised by the security chiefs. National Security Advisor Sambo Dasuki and military top brass claimed that soldiers would not be able to provide security if the election was to hold on 14th of Feb. because they are fighting with Boko Haram terrorist group in the Northern part of the country.

DHL truck kills LASU student, company denies ownership of vehicle

Stanley was a final year student of Lagos State University (LASU) before he met his untimely death when crushed by a truck belonging to DHL while standing by the road side close to the gate of the university. The driver was said to have attempted to run away from the scene of the incident before he was stopped by LASU students and secured the truck.

Stanley's brother, John found out that his brother had a slim chance of survival when rushed to a nearby hospital but later gave up when the driver of the vehicle wouldn't return after 2 hours he was asked to get a vehicle to convey Stanley to a specialized hospital for proper medical attention. The driver reportedly went back to the hospital with policemen instead of the vehicle he was asked to get to safe the dying victim of the accident.. John however went to the scene, took pictures and cautioned the angry students who were ready to burn the truck.

However, a close source to the actress has described the pregnancy claim as nothing but false.
“No she is not pregnant, and even if she was, she wouldnt announce it like that”. said the source.
Pregnant or not. its just a matter of time. We'll all see clearly very soon. E ma worry. :-)

Police officers threaten to go on strike over unpaid salary

This is an outcry from over 15,000 Nigeria police officers over unpaid salary of about 13 months. Read the full story as reported by Punch below...

More than 15,000 police officers have threatened to either go on strike or disrupt the March 28 and April 11 general elections.

They were made up of officers who were promoted from the rank of sergeant to the rank of inspector and those promoted from the rank of inspector to the rank of assistant superintendent of police in December 2013.

The policemen, according to seven of them who met with a Punch correspondent in Abuja on Tuesday, said that they were promoted since December 2013, but that the police authorities had refused to pay them their new salaries.

They said that after waiting for the police authorities for over a year, they were surprised that they were paid their new salaries with the January 2015 salaries, wondering why the money meant for the 13 month was not included.

5 Basic Elements of Defensive Driving - message from FRSC

This message is from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and I will like every member of the TLB online community to read and benefit from it. Your well being is so important to me.

Defensive Driving is a way of driving your vehicle to help you avoid crashes, collisions, accidents regardless of actions of other road users.
Below are the 5 Key Elements:
1. Look Further Ahead: Most drivers have a habit of seeing just the front of the vehicle while driving. Driver must look further ahead, see the horizon or at least 15 seconds ahead.
2. Scan, Plan & Act: Drivers are to scan all potential and actual hazards and plan early on how to avoid those hazards and act on what they have decided to do.
