Primary school pupil contests for school post with campaign banner..Is this proper?

Honestly, I found this really funny and at the same time a little bit confused. Asking myself if this is really proper for our primary school pupils to be selected for school post through electioneering process. I thought pupils are selected in the primaries even at the secondary level base on academic and moral conduct. Because, from experience, I was the head boy during my time in primary school, the same as my elder brother Yemi Lawal. Even my Dad who was also a senior prefect in his school long before I was born and this kind of process is totally new to me.

Is this the new trend in our elementary schools? (forgive me if am ignorant) But if this is true. Do you think this is not way too far for those young children? Abi you think there's no big deal about it?

Lagos State Government to provide free Wi-Fi services for Lagosians

The Permanent Secretary of Lagos State’s ICT Ministry, Mrs Nike Animashaun has revealed the State’s plan of providing Wi-Fi internet connectivity to residents. Channels TV reports, according to her, the first phase of the Wi-Fi connectivity would be deployed at parks located in different parts of the state, which will include, Alausa, Ajegunle and Oshodi.

“The Wi-Fi services will be in some of the parks in the state and when it is deployed, residents of Lagos State would be able to access Wi-Fi in some of the parks,” Mrs Animashaun stated.

She added that the State Government came up with the idea to stimulate and encourage the interest of children in science and technology.

I think this will be a very good development if implemented, at least we are moving forward and gradually we will get there. Eko o ni baje!

Testimonies from lovers, readers and friends of Tayo Lawal's Blog

My fulfillment comes from touching lives and adding value to humanity. And am grateful to God Almighty for giving me the grace to live my dream of contributing to the success of others and the development of my society, through my blogging career and my everyday life as a normal young man. To God be all the Glory.

I'm sharing this post not to pull any string of self-appraisal or to brag, boast or to impress anyone. No, Not at all. But basically, to encourage many people out there to take bold steps and explore the potentials God has deposited inside of you.

You never can tell how many destinies are attached to that skill or talent you call just. It doesn't matter who you are or where you from. It doesn't matter what you have or what you don't. Unilag Students Assembly! Like seriously?

Honestly, as much as I know about the prestigious University of Lagos, I never knew there's anything like Unilag Students Assembly (USA) until this ‘ALWAYS DRESS WELL’ awareness campaign came up. Anyway, thank God for my job, you'll get to know so many things.

Just so you know, the University of Lagos Students’ Assembly (USA) has commenced an ‘Always Dress Well’ Awareness Campaign aimed at promoting modesty and appropriate dressing among students of the University.

The campaign, via handbills, posters and interaction with students on campus, is expected to motivate students to embrace the culture of proper appearance within the learning environment.

Love Clinic: The very best way to overcome heartbreak & live a long happy life

Yea! Good morning lovers of Love Clinic on TLB, its been a while. Our Love Doctor, (Nicholas Irurhe) just returned from the UK a few days ago. And he's currently on another study trip to the South Western states of Nigeria. He will be back fully in action soon as he returns in few days.

Meanwhile, he has this wonderful excerpt below to keep your mind, body & soul in good shape. Enjoy..
There's no question that breakups can be painful, and that it's difficult to trust and love again. But there are ways to get past the pain. Here is some of Dr. Phil's advice for healing the heartbreak:
•In time, it is absolutely vital to put the pain behind you and move forward with your life and love. Otherwise, you are giving away your power to the people who hurt you.
•Sometimes the relationship you need to rescue is the one with yourself. Moving past a breakup is about you, not your ex.
•Don't start thinking about being friends right away — if ever. You have to be your own friend first. continue.....

My Life Journey so Far - Louis Dike shares touching story (Must Read)

After celebrating his birthday yesterday, my special friend Louis Dike today Friday 17th of April took to his blog (LouisDike.com) to share a very touching and inspiring story, recounting some good, bad and the ugly part of his days so far on earth. Its quite an interesting and inspiring piece... Read below
I must confess that, the 16th of April 2015 (yesterday), is the most remarkable so far in my life, after the exact day I was born (I obviously wont write the year). I have been looking forward to it, funny enough. My birthday last year was completely out of it,  so many awkward issues. But above all I am, grateful to God for his graces conferred on me and all the benefits accrued to my existence.
As a little boy it always pleased me to make people happy and laugh. I had the heart of an entertainer, but I didn't know it, my mind was so crowded with the usuals -go to school, take a professional course like medicine, engineering, architecture..etc. thanks to 9ja parents and our traditional orientation in Africa.
I am so glad that people in this part of the world are beginning to see the other side of the ball. if you haven't seen it, biko go and try seeking regular employment or taking your "big idea" proposal to a prominent company or multinational in search of sponsorship, if care is not taken, you may commit suicide. continue reading and see more pics from his birthday below....

Happy birthday to Kola Olanipekun, Bolu Folayan & Onaopemipo Olatunde (Mz Pepo)

The three of them are from different homes, different parents and different families but are all good friends of the TLB nation.

We wish them many more years of fulfillment and greater achievements in life. See more of their pics after the cut and drop your wishes for them in the comment section below....
