Unilag management commissions bus donated by Lagos State Govt. to ULSU

The University of Lagos Management led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rahamon A. Bello FAEng has commissioned the 18-seater bus donated by the Lagos State Government to the newly elected UNILAG Students Union (ULSU).

Speaking during the bus commissioning ceremony which took place on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Senate House Car Park, the Vice-Chancellor reiterated the commitment of the University Management to the smooth inauguration and take off of the new ex-co.

He congratulated the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Babatunde Babawale for the successful conduct of the ULSU election. According to him, the ULSU election held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 was more like a template for the elections that happened in Nigeria.

Professor Bello noted that the bus donation to the new ULSU ex-co was a good omen and good note to start. He wished the new student-leaders a successful tenure and charged them to discharge their duties diligently and protect the image of the University as the varsity was a brand recognized all over the world. His words, “discharge your duties very well it has a way of rubbing off on your personality when you graduate.”

The Lagos State Government had, on Friday, April 3, 2015, presented eleven buses to the student’s union bodies of tertiary institutions in the State.  The presentation was done by Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN in company of the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode at the State Government Secretariat, Alausa.
