JAMB announces 180 as UTME cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian Universities

Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced UTME cut-off marks for 2015/2016 admissions into Nigerian tertiary institutions.

The board has fixed 180 as the minimum admission cut-off mark for degree awarding institutions (Universities), 150 for National Certificate of Education (NCE) and National Diploma (Polytechnics)

The decision was made at the 2015 Combined Policy Meeting on Admissions to Degree, Nigerian Certificate of Education and National Diploma awarding institutions held on Tuesday, 14th July in Abuja. continue....

The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, who announced the cut off marks to newsmen, said it was imperative for all higher institutions to abide by the agreement and ensure its implementation. He said:
“We have been able to decide the cut-off mark. It’s going to be 180 for universities and 150 for non-degree institutions. 
We hope that our vice-chancellors, rectors and provosts will stick to these decisions and implement accordingly so that by October 31 admission for 2015/2016 will be over"
