Police interrogates K1 de Ultimate over shooting of University student

Popular Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, K1 de Ultimate spent several hours at the state police headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta Ogun state yesterday being interrogated by the police over the shooting of a female student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye during his performance three weeks ago.

K1 was reportedly interrogated by policemen attached to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence for about six hours before he was released on bail.


It was said that one of the band members of the musician allegedly fired a shot which hit the Business Education student of OOU, identified as Azeez Kofoworola on Saturday, October 10. Kofoworola was later rushed to General Hospital, Ijebu Ode, for treatment.

K1 was said to have denied that the incident happened at his show, said he left the shores of Nigeria to London immediately after the show. Before he was released, he was said to have got a reliable surety on the condition that the surety would provide him anytime he was needed and the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed it.
