Nigerian Ports Authority to create jobs and support investments

During his visit to the Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics Base,LADOL, at the Apapa Port Pilotage District, the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority Habib Abdullahi has stated clearly that the authority would support more investment in the maritime industry which will have a positive impact on the nation's economy and create more employment opportunities for Nigerian youths.

Abdullahi assured that NPA would give the necessary support to LADOL and other operators to ensure that they succeed. He said; “We will give LADOL and other operators all the support needed to succeed. This will create competitiveness and every other player will be given the chance to operate.”

Earlier, Managing Director of the Maritime Oil and gas service provider, Amy Jadesimi, had assured the NPA boss of her organization's determination to provide 5000 direct jobs and 50,000 indirect jobs in the industry in due course when LADOL operations assume full swing.
