Kanu Nwakwo's account frozen, properties seized over unpaid debt

Former Nigerian football star, Kanu Nwankwo’s accounts and that of his company, the Hardley Apartments have reportedly been frozen according to a directive from the federal high court in a bid to recover an unpaid debt of N924,788,754.56.

Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, (AMCON) filed the suit against Kanu and his company in order to recover the debt. The company is said to have taken a loan from Skye Bank worth N520, 547,000 but were unable to pay loan back with the accrued interest.

Skye Bank assigned the case to AMCON, which led to the possession of all movable and immovable properties at The Hardley Apartments located at Plot 46 Waziri Ibrahim Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos to be possessed by AMCON as ordered by the presiding judge on the case.

What's happening to our dear Papilo. May the Lord take control.
