The new Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, ABSU, Prof. Uche Ikonne has lamented over the poor ranking of the institution, and vowed to enhance the national and international ranking of the university. The new Vice Chancellor while addressing the management, academic and non-academic staff members of the University at the institution’s auditorium, said: “The ranking of universities by the national and international community underscores this point and it’s a veritable index for measuring the achievements of any or successive university administrations”.
