Newly appointed lawmaker kidnapped and killed in Jos

The newly appointed transition committee chairman of Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State, Hosea Azi has been abducted and murdered today December 12 by suspected kidnappers. Family sources revealed that Azi was kidnapped on yesterday evening along Miango road, in Kufang, near former NYSC Secretariat in Jos South Local Government Area of the state.

The sources added that Azi was not the only one that died but four out of the six people who abducted him also lost their lives after their car got involved in an accident in Keffi, Nasarawa State while driving him away.

The late Azi was appointed the transition committee chairman of Jos East on Thursday, following the removal of his predecessor, Sanda Agwom, by Governor Simon Lalong.
