Woman stabs another boyfriend to death 35 years after killing one

A New Jersey woman convicted of fatally stabbing an ex-boyfriend to death more than 30 years ago admits to doing the same thing last year. Edna White, 57, of Trenton, pleaded guilty Monday to aggravated manslaughter in the February, 2014, slaying of former boyfriend Dwelle Clark, 55.

White had previously been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter in 1980 for stabbing a former boyfriend to death and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. 'I'm guilty,' White told Judge Robert Billmeier in a Mercer County court on Monday, according to The Trentonian. 'So what else can I do?'
At the plea hearing, White showed no remorse in the empty courtroom and seemed more upset that her sentence would not be imposed before Christmas so her transfer to a state prison from the county jail could take place sooner. She has been held on bail at the county jail since she was charged in Clark's death. White faces up to 13 years in prison for the latest killing when she's sentenced in January and must serve five years of parole supervision once she's released

In accepting the plea deal, White avoided facing a murder charge. She admitted she stabbed Clark in the chest with a seven-inch knife but said she did it after he struck her.White said she rekindled a relationship with Clark and was renting a room from his mother. She said that they had been arguing for months and that she stabbed him over $20 after he caught her going through his mother's purse. He died at a hospital three days later. In 1980 she stabbed her then-boyfriend, 39, with an eight-inch steak knife, according to the Times of Trenton.
