A CCTV footage has shown an unidentified woman caught on camera in the process of shoplifting at La Roux Boutique in Magodo, Lagos State. This happened on the 14th of December. 2016, around 12:09pm according to statistics from the CCTV recording.

Lagos commence sales of Lake Rice today

The Lagos state government on Tuesday, said it will commence the sales of the much awaited Lake Rice today Thursday Dec 22nd, as the Christmas celebration draws nearer.

The sale, earlier scheduled for December 15 at a cost at N13, 000 per 50 kg has been re-scheduled to commence today at some specific locations across the state. A source however said a bag of rice scheduled for N13,000 has been further reduced to  N12,000.

FG declares Monday, Tuesday & Jan 2nd as public holidays

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th December, 2016 and Monday 2nd January, 2017 as Public Holidays to mark the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year Celebrations respectively.

The Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido.  Happy holidays Nigerians!

Babalola Rotimi Junior, 24, was yesterday, Wednesday remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons for the alleged murder of his father and stabbing his mother into a state of unconsciousness.

Magistrate Bola Folarin-Williams of an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court gave the order when he appeared before her on a two-count of murder and attempted murder with knives.

Rivers Rerun: Fayose calls on Donald Trump to intervene in Nigeria's situation

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has described the Rivers National and State Houses of Assembly election rerun as disgraceful, asking the United States President-elect, Donald Trump, to quickly intervene in the affairs of Nigeria.

Fayose said this in a statement by his media aide, Lere Olayinka, on Sunday.
