President Buhari to reward 1985 Golden Eaglets

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari is set to reward the 1985 winner of Under16 World Cup. According to the information from the Presidency, a top source revealed that a total sum of 2million naira each have been set aside for the entire squad.

The team won the 1985 edition of the FIFA world cup which took place in China during the first regime of Muhammadu Buhari as a Nigerian President.

The source said:

 “The President has prepared the sum of N2m each for the players who won the 1985 world cup, he will make this intentions known on January 21 when he host the entire squad at the state house in Abuja.”
“We learnt some of them are late and with proof of relationship, relatives can pick up their reward on their behalf and have to work with the sports ministry for proper verification.”
