Davido unveils new artiste, Mayorkun, signed to HKN Gang

Nigerian music star, Davido has unveiled Mayorkun, the newly signed artiste to his HKN Gang record label. Mayowa Adewale aka Mayorkun, an Afro pop singer who is a graduate of University of Lagos, expressed his excitement over the signing and disclosed that he initially thought it was a scam when Davido sent him a message.

Mayokun revealed that he met Davido after posting a short video of his performance on Instagram which got Davido's interest and that's how the journey began. Mayokun is the son of popular Nollywood actress Toyin Adwale. See another picture of him after the cut...

‘’It is a dream come true and I feel so excited being signed unto the label. ”I have always hoped to get this sort of chance and Davido coming my way is something that is indescribable.’’ Mayorkun said.

In an interactive session with the media during the unveiling yesterday, Davido said Mayokun is the next big thing in the Nigerian music industry.
