Yobe Deputy Governor, Abubakar Ali involved in car accident

Barely 24 hours after the Minister of State for Labour, Barrister James Ocholi, his wife and son died in a fatal auto crash along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, another top government official was earlier today involved in another motor accident.

According to Premium Times, the Deputy Governor of Yobe state, Abubakar Ali, today, March 7, 2016, involved in a ghastly car crash in Daka-Tsalle town along the Kaduna- Kano expressway.

“The SUV he was travelling in had a head-on collision with a Toyota Avensis vehicle,” a witness, Sanusi Abdul said. “Fortunately, the deputy governor’s vehicle did not somersault, but the Toyota car was badly damaged and some of its occupants injured,” he added.

The deputy governor’s convoy is said to have continued its trip to Kano after the incident.
No casualty has been reported from the incident.
