Eyitayo Jegede emerges PDP governorship candidate in Ondo state

Former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Eyitayo Jegede, today Monday August 22nd, emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Ondo State governorship election. Jegede, a Senior Advocates of Nigeria, scored 760 votes to beat Saka Lawal, his only rival, who scored only 22 votes.

Jegede had on July 23 resigned his appointment in preparation to contest the governorship election coming up in November, 2016.
