New militant group blows up oil pipeline in Delta

A new militant group, Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate (NDGJM), which had threatened to blow up oil installations in the upland of the Niger Delta region, on Wednesday carried out its threat.

The group reportedly blew up a major trunk line operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company in Isoko, which feeds Eriemu Manifold. NDGJM claimed responsibility for the attack saying it was part of the group’s demolition of oil facilities tagged ‘Operation Zero.’
