Parents take to the streets to protest long closure of LAUTECH

Parents of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology's students and Ogbomoso indigenes have taken to the streets to protest the long closure of the institution.

The placards carrying parents, especially those of Ogbomoso, Oyo State indigenes stormed the Senate building of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology yesterday to pour out their grievances over the long closure of the university. They demanded the Oyo State government to take over the university calling for the evacuation of all students from Osun State.
"Oyo State own LAUTECH, we demand the takeover of the institution, since the Osun State Government has failed it woefully. We are angry over the unnecessary shut down of LAUTECH. We urge the vice chancellor not to sell out Lautech to Osun" one of the protesters said.
