Sokoto state govt shuts down 20 illegal schools

Sokoto State Government yesterday, September 23, 2016 announced the closure of 20 illegal primary and secondary schools in the state. This is contained in a statement signed by the chairman of the committee on the closure of unregistered schools in the state, Alhaji Shehu Lema which was made
available to newsmen in Sokoto. According to the statement, ”the axed schools were closed as they were operating illegally and in unconducive environment. They were also operating in rented apartments in contravention of the laid down rules and regulations of establishing such schools.
